The Greater Idaho Falls Police Foundation believes that a police department that is well equipped, well trained, accountable and connected to the community will be highly regarded and trusted. Since very little of our local police department’s annual budgets go to discretionary spending, the Police Foundation supports law enforcement with funding and programs that city and county budgets cannot readily fund.
The Foundation is governed by a group of volunteer directors. The Foundation does not fund personnel, regular police vehicles, lethal weapons, officer’s uniforms or standard police equipment. Every dime that is donated helps our heroic men and women in blue get the equipment, training and outreach programs they need to fight crime.
Specifically, we provide support to enhance police/community relations, crime prevention, and public safety through grant funding for specialized equipment, training, and cooperative community programs. With the help and generosity of caring citizens like you, the Greater Idaho Falls Police Foundation is able to assist local law enforcement in several important ways.
